Editorial Standards
How Amino Axiom content is written, sourced, dated and corrected.
Who publishes Amino Axiom
Amino Axiom is a free research reference: compound profiles, articles, a glossary, calculators and vendor price comparison. Amino Axiom does not sell compounds.
Articles and compound profiles carry the byline "Amino Axiom Editorial". That byline names the publication, not an individual. We do not list named authors or claim medical or academic credentials for the content.
How content is written
Articles and compound profiles are drafted with AI assistance and reviewed by the editorial team before publication. Review covers sourcing, research framing, and the scope rules below.
AI drafting is the reason the sourcing rules exist. Language models produce plausible citations that do not support the claim, so a citation only appears on the site after it has been checked against the source record.
Every factual claim cites a primary record
Claims about study results cite a PubMed record by PMID, linked to pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov, or a trial registration by NCT ID, linked to clinicaltrials.gov.
Citations render only when the PMID is in our verified citations table, which records the PubMed metadata and the date it was checked. An article whose PMIDs have not been verified renders without citations rather than with unchecked ones. A scheduled job re-checks compound citations against PubMed every day, oldest first. Compounds with no citable PubMed literature are shown with a lower-confidence note instead of a citation list.
The 2026 citation re-verification
The first version of the compound data was seeded with AI assistance in March 2026. Pre-launch audits in March and May 2026 found that most of its PubMed citations pointed to real papers unrelated to the claim they were attached to. In the May sample, 17 of 18 PMIDs did not support their claim.
In May 2026 every compound citation was removed from the site and the database. Citations were then rebuilt through a pipeline that searches PubMed, matches each candidate paper to the specific claim, and records a verification date before anything is shown. Compounds were brought back with citations as they passed that check, through July 2026. The display-time check described above came out of this audit.
Update cadence and dates
Each article shows its publish date, and an updated date once its content has been revised. Each compound profile carries a tracked last-updated date. These are tracked fields in our content data, and the same dates feed the sitemap and structured data.
A date changes only when the content changes. We do not bump dates to make a page look fresh, and title or search-snippet edits alone do not change them.
Corrections policy
If you find an error, a citation that does not support its claim, or outdated trial or regulatory information, report it through the contact page and choose "Data correction". Include the page URL and, where possible, the source that shows the correct information.
Confirmed errors are fixed on the page, and a correction that changes what a page says also updates its date.
For research purposes, not medical advice
All content is provided for research and educational purposes only. Nothing on Amino Axiom is medical advice, a dosing recommendation, or an instruction for human use. Pages describe what published research and clinical trials report; they do not claim that any compound treats, cures or prevents a condition.
Vendor links in price comparisons can be affiliate links, and Amino Axiom may earn a commission on purchases made through them. See section 7 of the terms. Affiliate relationships do not change compound data or citations.
