The Phase 2 data on retatrutide (LY3437943) is genuinely impressive. Triple agonist hitting GLP-1, GIP, and glucagon receptors simultaneously. The 48-week data showed mean weight loss of 24.2% at the highest dose.
Tirzepatide already changed the game with dual agonism, but adding glucagon receptor activation for hepatic lipid metabolism and energy expenditure could be another level.
The safety profile needs more long-term data obviously, but the mechanistic rationale is solid. Thoughts on the Phase 3 timeline?
