The 25-40% of weight loss being lean mass is the part of GLP-1 research that doesn't get enough discussion. Zone 2 cardio + adequate protein seems to attenuate that based on what I'm seeing in my own data.
DEXA at baseline and 12 weeks. Total body lost 14 lbs, fat mass lost 11.2 lbs, lean mass lost 2.8 lbs. That's a 20% lean mass attribution which is at the low end of the published range.
