Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) is a glycoprotein hormone produced by the placenta during pregnancy. Structurally similar to LH, it stimulates testosterone production in males and supports corpus luteum function in females. FDA-approved for fertility treatment and male hypogonadism.
