Sterile water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a bacteriostatic preservative. It is the standard solvent used for reconstituting lyophilized peptides in research settings. The benzyl alcohol inhibits bacterial growth, allowing reconstituted solutions to be stored and used over multiple days, unlike sterile water which must be used immediately after opening. Typically stored at controlled room temperature before use and refrigerated after reconstitution.
