Binding Affinity

The strength of interaction between a molecule and its receptor, typically expressed as the dissociation constant (Kd). Lower Kd values indicate stronger binding affinity. Binding affinity is a key determinant of a peptide's potency and selectivity. High binding affinity at a target receptor with low affinity at off-target receptors is a desirable property in peptide research, as it suggests greater specificity of action.
